Seido Art Services were proud to be commissioned for the installation of artworks and framed pieces at the new flagship Audemars Piguet store in Mayfair. This prestigious project reflects not only the craftsmanship and heritage associated with the brand, but also the level of precision and care required when installing artwork within a highly refined retail environment.
A Unique Retail Environment
The new AP House concept represents a shift away from traditional retail, offering a more immersive, residential-style experience. Set within a beautifully restored historic building on Clifford Street, the space blends heritage architecture with contemporary, design-led interiors. Rich materials, bespoke finishes, and carefully curated details define the environment, making it essential that every element, including the artwork, is installed with absolute precision.
Working with Delicate Bespoke Surfaces
A key challenge of this project was the installation of artworks onto delicate surfaces, including walnut veneer panelling and bespoke fabric-covered walls. These materials require a specialist approach.
Unlike standard plasterboard or masonry walls, these finishes are highly sensitive to pressure, marking, and structural disruption. Incorrect fixing methods can easily cause irreversible damage. Our team carefully assessed each surface and selected appropriate fixings and techniques to ensure:
Structural integrity of the wall finish was preserved
Fixings remained discreet and visually unobtrusive
Weight distribution of each artwork was safely managed
The final presentation met the exacting aesthetic standards of the space

An important aspect of this project was the close collaboration with the in-house design team at Audemars Piguet. Rather than simply executing a predefined plan, we were invited to contribute our expertise in the positioning and arrangement of artworks throughout the space.
