In 2025, Seido Art Services were contracted to assist with the installation of a major retrospective exhibition by the artist Scott Mead. The exhibition brought together over 100 artworks spanning five decades of photographic practice, a project that required thoughtful planning, technical precision, and close collaboration at every stage.

Seido Art Services was selected for this project based on our experience delivering complex, large-scale art installations within luxury hospitality and commercial environments. Our role focused on the careful execution of the consultant’s installation schedules within a live, multi-disciplinary shipyard environment. This required close coordination with on-site teams to manage the receipt, tracking, distribution, and precise installation of artworks in line with programme timelines and design intent.

As an experienced provider of hotel art installation services in London, we were engaged to manage the physical installation phase efficiently and in line with the wider construction programme. Despite the scale of the project, the full installation was completed in under two weeks, ahead of schedule and within budget.

Seido Art Services was proud to provide specialist art installation services for the newly redesigned Italian Ambassador’s Residence in London, a prestigious project led by designer Nick Vinson within a Grade II-listed building dating back to 1868.

This project required a highly considered approach to handling, lifting, and installation due to the scale, weight, and fragility of the artwork, as well as the complexities of working within a fully operational university building.

Seido Art Services was commissioned by a specialist art consultant to deliver installation services for approximately 300 artworks at an exclusive hotel in Saudi Arabia. The scope of works includes framed photographs, paintings, sculptures, and ceramics.

This project was delivered in close collaboration with Bailey & Jones, Sean Kelly New York, EH Scaffolding, and Mayer of Munich, whose combined expertise was essential to its successful completion.

Protecting art in high-traffic public spaces requires careful planning. These areworks were where hotel guests might accidentally touch or lean on them. To address this risk while maintaining the visual appeal of the space, a custom acrylic protection solution was installed.

Installing this extra-large artwork presented several technical challenges. Measuring over 4.5 metres tall and 3 metres wide, the piece was paired with an oversized bespoke frame designed to fit over the installed work. Both the dimensions and weight required meticulous planning and careful coordination.

This exhibition exemplifies the intersection of high-end fashion, luxury retail, and curated art, demonstrating how art installations in boutique retail environments can elevate the customer experience. The fusion of modern and classical works created an eclectic yet harmonious display, reinforcing the store as both a shopping destination and a cultural space.

Large-scale hospitality art installation projects of this nature require far more than simply hanging artworks. They demand detailed logistical planning, strict sequencing, and close coordination with interior designers, main contractors, and hotel management to ensure artworks are installed safely, efficiently, and in line with the wider construction programme.

We needed to install aluminium scaffolding on the stairs in order to access the height required as it is difficult and dangerous to use ladders to access this height from stairs. As the scaffold width is limited, this meant also rebuilding the scaffold three times to be able to reach all the areas required.

Our method included the use of our specialist stair ladder for working at the required height on the stairs and to get our accurate fixings we use a laser level from the landing.
