Lost Property St Paul’s - Curio Collection by Hilton Hotels. 720+ Artworks Installed. (2022)

Hotel Art Installation in London: Lost Property Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton

In 2022, our specialist art installation team delivered a large-scale hotel art installation project in London, working with Wrapped LA on the installation of over 720 artworks across guest rooms and public spaces at the newly opened Lost Property Hotel, part of Hilton’s Curio Collection, located at St Paul’s.

Wrapped LA were commissioned by Key Interior & Design, on behalf of the Dominvs Group, to supply and install framed artworks throughout the hotel’s 145 guest rooms and communal areas. As the professional art installation partner on this project, we were responsible for managing and executing the physical installation phase to the highest standards expected within the luxury hospitality sector.

Large-scale hospitality art installation projects of this nature require far more than simply hanging artworks. They demand detailed logistical planning, strict sequencing, and close coordination with interior designers, main contractors, and hotel management to ensure artworks are installed safely, efficiently, and in line with the wider construction programme.

Our Art Installation Services for Hotels

Working closely with Wrapped LA, our scope of works included a comprehensive range of hotel art installation services:

  • Receiving and managing deliveries of artworks, ensuring all items were logged, tracked, and safely stored on arrival

  • Professional unpacking of artworks, removing transit materials while protecting frames, glazing, and finishes

  • Distributing artworks across multiple floors, coordinating access to guest rooms and public areas in line with the hotel build schedule

  • Condition checking artworks and frames prior to installation, identifying and reporting any damage or defects before works commenced

  • Secure installation of artworks using security fixings, ensuring consistent height, alignment, and spacing throughout the hotel

  • Final inspection and quality assurance, reviewing all installed artworks for presentation, safety, and compliance with project standards

These processes are central to our approach as professional art installers working within live hospitality environments.

Managing a Complex Hotel Installation Environment

With over 720 artworks to be installed across multiple floors, accuracy, consistency, and logistics were critical. Our London-based art installation team developed a phased installation methodology that allowed artworks to be installed room-by-room and floor-by-floor, ensuring minimal disruption to other trades while maintaining momentum across the project.

Uniformity across guest rooms was particularly important, where even small variances in height or positioning would be noticeable at scale. Each artwork was carefully measured, aligned, and secured to deliver a cohesive and consistent visual experience throughout the hotel.

Delivering Art Installations for Luxury Hospitality

As part of Hilton’s Curio Collection, Lost Property Hotel required a level of finish appropriate to a luxury hospitality environment. This meant working with extreme care around newly completed surfaces, fixtures, and furnishings, while ensuring that each artwork was securely fixed for long-term use in a high-occupancy setting.

Our experience in hotel art installation in London and across the UK allows us to deliver projects that combine:

  • Technical precision

  • Aesthetic sensitivity

  • Risk-aware planning

  • Respect for premium architectural finishes

Projects of this scale demonstrate the importance of using specialist art installation services within the hospitality sector — ensuring that artworks enhance the guest experience while meeting safety, durability, and brand requirements.
